About Us

In 1994, employees of William A. Berry & Son, Inc. founded The Berry Fund Charitable Foundation, a grassroots fundraising effort that brings the spirit of giving to those in need within our communities. It began very simply, as a holiday bake sale, but quickly evolved into something much greater. The Berry Fund is now active throughout the entire year and involves employees at all levels of the company, volunteering their time to organize and participate in special events that raise money for those in need. Since its founding, The Berry Fund has experienced meteoric growth, with annual double-digit percentage increases in money raised, new causes supported and new levels of volunteer participation and enthusiasm achieved each year.

While the scale of The Fund has changed dramatically over time, its same simple commitment to active participation in worthy causes has remained steadfast. It is a part of the fabric of Berry with our employees, families and friends continuously looking for ways to grow and give to the fund. Their commitment to The Berry Fund is unshakeable, and thanks to the generosity and goodwill of clients, colleagues and associates, The Berry Fund makes a difference in the lives of thousands in our local communities each year.

Mission

The Berry Fund Charitable Foundation works to extend Berry’s philosophy of service to the less fortunate in our communities by going beyond our basic public responsibilities. The ultimate goal is to have a positive, tangible impact on the lives of others, especially those individuals who may have no place else to turn for help. We encourage others to share in our goals and contribute to our mission in any way they can: through time, resources or funds. This support, coupled with the dedication of Berry staff to a variety of events, allows us to help numerous individuals and organizations throughout our local communities.

The Berry Fund raises money through a variety of channels, including donations from individuals, corporations and institutions; golf tournaments; sponsored sporting events; silent auctions and raffles to name just a few. How much of my donation will go to those in need?

All administrative costs associated with managing the Fund are supported by William A. Berry & Son, Inc., allowing 100% of all donations received to go to families and organizations in our neighboring communities.

Yes. The Federal Tax Identification Number for The Berry Fund Charitable Foundation is 04-3484211. Letters confirming your tax-deductible donations are sent out annually in February.
